Program members can use standard program credits on Google Gemini and our Vertex AI open models. In addition, AI Tier startups may qualify for an additional $10,000 USD to be used exclusively on partner LLM models through Model Garden.
Cradle uses generative AI and wet-lab technologies to help find, understand, and engineer proteins and enzymes — significantly speeding up the research and development. We use Google Cloud to enable our machine learning team to quickly learn from massive scale DNA-sequence and laboratory data as well as quickly train and fine-tune new models using state-of-the-art Nvidia and TPU accelerators.

1. Credits can be applied toward Google Cloud Services and Select Google Cloud offerings, subject to the Google for Startups Cloud Program-Startup Terms.
2. Company domain must not have been subscribed to a paid Google Workspace plan from within 31 days of applying to the Google for Startups Cloud Program, to the day the benefit is requested.
Acceptance into this program is at the discretion of Google Cloud. We are unable to accept companies that have IPO’d or been acquired, educational institutions, government entities, nonprofits, personal blogs or content, dev shops, consultancies, or agencies, cryptocurrency mining company, or a company distributing tokens contrary to regulatory guidance in your jurisdiction.
*Startup Equity Funding includes equity investments that support startup growth from institutional investors and venture capital firms. Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE) agreements are eligible. To support the Web3 community, we accept verifiable token raises and blockchain foundation grants.
Funding through private equity, government innovation grants, prize funding, crowdfunding, angel, and friends and family funding will not qualify a startup for scale but will be evaluated for other program tiers.
