Philanthropic giving

Since 2008, Google and Googlers have given more than $4 million in philanthropic giving (cash grants, employee donations, and gift match) to organizations and nonprofits in Nevada.

After a chance encounter with a coffee harvest on a visit to Costa Rica, Joel Zuniga returned to Reno, Nevada, learned to roast beans in the artisanal spirit of the Great Basin, and co-founded Star Village Coffee with his twin brother, Josh, in 2018. They use Google Workspace to update orders and inventory in real time, so the roastery can get orders out faster and fresher. Additionally, Google Analytics shows them where their e-commerce pages can be better optimized to increase sales.

Avid skier Matt Linder and Nico Monforte design high-end, off-road vehicles for their business TruckHouse in Sparks, Nevada. They use Google Workspace to help keep operations humming. Additionally, Google Workspace with Gemini helps the staff work efficiently, and makes tracking inventory easier.
