"reset position" interrupt/sensor for cabinet or drawer

I'm looking at building several OWW/Winderoo units and setting them into a drawer or cabinet to hold my slowly expanding watch collection. A quality of life feature that occurred to me, is that it would be nice if i could rig up a sensor on the drawer or cabinet door that detects if it is opened. This should trigger any in progress winding to stop, and the watches to return to an upright (12 facing up) orientation. This would make it easier to display, easier to wrangle a watch in and out of a slot, and make for some cool visual flash.

Is this something that would be easy to add? Im happy to contribute a PR if its fairly simple and other people would get some use out of it
