Hi All, During PyCon India 2016 open space, we discussed about conducting workshops for school students. Teaching school students might be a bit challenging as they have minimal knowledge on programming. Real time and visual results will excite them to learn programming language and try things on their own. We can conduct python workshops with the help of low cost single board computers like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ExpEYES or something similar to it which will be helpful in teaching and also make the students understand. Since the cost of these single board computers are less, its affordable for students to buy on their own to pursue it further. I would request everyone to share your thoughts on the same and help in building the workshop topics and content for school students. Thanks, Vijay

PyCon India 2017 dates & venue suggestion

Hi folks, We're currently considering IIM Lucknow (Nodia Campus) as event host for PyCon India 2017. We will be holding PyDelhi Conf in the same venue to test it out and to see if we face any major issues. We still have JNU as a backup option. If some one has a better option and can help us in getting that venue, please do let us know. We are looking for input on the dates to book the venue for. October 27, 28, 29 looks like a good option. PyCon Pune Cancelled ?

Hi folks, I went to Pycon Pune conference venue [AMANORA The Fern Hotels and Club, Pune] today. But it seems that main conference canceled. How did this happen without any pre-confirmation? I even checked PyCon website [https://pune.pycon.org] today and event date is 16th to 19th Feb at above new location. Please suggest me to cancel and refund my conference ticket. The conference part of PyCon Pune wrapped up today. The sprints start from tomorrow.
