Thanks to everyone who were involved with PyCon India 2024. Hope you
all had fun.
We've received videos from our vendor, which however needs to be
captioned before they can be made available on YouTube. We're working
on that. But it is also a dependency for the financial report as it
depends on whether or not the videos need further processing. So,
while those are being delayed, I'd prefer not to delay the call for
proposals for 2025 due to the same. These things can happen in
parallel.
Personally, I think we should do the city nomination for subsequent
year and announce it during the last day of the conference itself.
(Perhaps a suggestion for 2026.)
So, If you're a city, local group, team, or individual interested in
organising PyCon India 2025, we'd love to hear from you! Please send
your proposals or expressions of interest to the mailing list by
January 1st week, 2025. Keep it short and to the point, but make sure
to share your vision for PyCon India 2025. This is an open invitation
for anyone who wants to be a part of shaping the future of PyCon
India! In case there's more than one proposal, the final will be
decided based on majority vote on this mailing list itself.
While there's no pre-conditions in organising PyCon India 2025, we
would suggest at least a few experienced folks who've been involved in
previous editions to participate in the team, as there's a steep
learning curve to it. Rest assured, the rest of the community is here
to support you anytime.
