About this app

Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content data for you:

Contacts
Message history
Camera photos and videos
Mail accounts
Calendars
WhatsApp content

Make sure to keep your devices nearby and connected to power until the transfer is complete. When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.

My experience with Move to iOS was nothing less than a nightmare. I factory restored my phone twice. The first time, it took almost 30 hrs and got stuck at 98%, and the second time,it took 24 hrs but got stuck at 95%. I showed extreme patience and dedicated 3 full days with both my phones only for this process, but in the end, it all failed. The app’s UI is misleading, the progress bar, data in percentage, and the number of items transferred and remaining all show different statistics. Exhausted

Failed Twice. Took more than 3 and half hours to complete. First thing, after process starts just don't use Android phone. Keep the Android app open, don't use any other app. It's okay if iOS device screen turns off because it's sleep time is very less. It will take double the time it is showing on screen. For last 10 min of transfer, it took me 1 and half hour. Last min of transfer on screen took me more than 40 mins to complete.

What a disaster. 2 attempts and over 3 hours each for basic data transfer. Apple come on... you can do better. This makes me wonder why Android is so widely used and so easy to manage. And, now I know why people don't shift from the iOS eco system... cause it's so difficult to set and move out off. Quite a frustrating experience to say the least.
