If your left or right AirPod isn't working
Find out what to do if thereβs no sound in one AirPod, or if one AirPod is louder or quieter than the other.
If there's no sound in one AirPod
Make sure your charging case is fully charged.
Place both AirPods in your charging case and let them charge for 30 seconds.
Open the charging case near your iPhone or iPad.
Check the charge status on your iPhone or iPad to make sure each AirPod is
.Put the AirPod that isnβt working in the appropriate ear.
With the other AirPod still in the charging case, close the lid of the case.
Play audio to test the malfunctioning AirPod.
Depending on what happens:
If the malfunctioning AirPod plays sound, place both AirPods in the charging case, let them charge for 30 seconds, open the charging case near your iPhone or iPad and test to see if both are now working properly.
If an AirPod still isnβt working, reset your AirPods.
If one AirPod is louder or quieter than the other
If your left or right AirPod isn't playing any sound, or if the volume is too quiet:
Check the microphone and speaker mesh on each AirPod.
If thereβs any debris, clean your AirPods or your AirPods Pro.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Balance, and make sure the balance is set in the middle.
