
Find a location in Maps on Mac
You can find addresses, businesses, landmarks and moreโwhether theyโre nearby or farther awayโand get information about a location.
Siri: Say something like:
โFind coffee near me.โ
โWhatโs the quickest way to Westminster Bridge?โ

Search for a location
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click the search field at the top of the sidebar, then enter an address or other information. For example:
Junction (โHigh Street and Station Roadโ)
Area (โGreenwichโ)
Landmark (โBig Benโ)
Zip code (โ60622โ)
Business (โmoviesโ, โrestaurants San Francisco,โ or โApple Inc.โ)
Details about a location (โItalian restaurantโ or โCafe with Wi-Fiโ)
GPS coordinates (โ37.8199 N, 122.4783 Wโ)
Someone in your contacts
If you donโt see the sidebar, click
in the toolbar.
Click a result in the list to show it in Maps.
Tip: To search for another location, without losing the location youโre viewing, search in a new window or tab. Choose File > New Window or File > New Tab.
Get information about a location
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click a location on the map, then scroll down in the place card.
Place cards can show the locationโs address, type of location (for example, a landmark or a business), distance from your current location, ratings and reviews, and more. You can also get directions, add the location to your library or contacts, or report an issue.
To close the place card, click outside of it.
