You can customize the temperature schedule of your Google Nest thermostat in the Google Home or Nest app or directly on the thermostat.

To find instructions for a different thermostat model, go to Nest thermostat temperature schedules and select your thermostat.

Auto-Schedule
Important: Only the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostats have Auto-Schedule. Auto-Schedule is not available for the Nest Thermostat.
The Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E have Auto-Schedule turned on by default to help you save energy and keep you comfortable.
With Auto-Schedule, you don't have to manually program your thermostat to save energy. Simply change the temperature any time in the app or on the thermostat itself, and your thermostat will learn from your preferences. After a few days, it programs a schedule for you based on the temperatures and times you choose.
If you donโt want to use Auto-Schedule and prefer to manually program your thermostat temperature schedule, you can turn it off.

The Basic Schedule (NTE only)
Important: Only the Nest Thermostat E has the Basic Schedule. The Basic Schedule is not available for the Nest Thermostat or Nest Learning Thermostat.
If you donโt want to wait for Auto-Schedule to create a schedule, you can use the Basic Schedule to instantly create one after installation.
The Basic Schedule is pre-programmed and based on a national average efficient schedule that balances energy-savings and comfort.
During setup, your thermostat asks if youโd like to use Auto-Schedule or Basic Schedule. If you choose the latter, your thermostat sets a pre-programmed temperature schedule that you can use right away.
You can also change the temperature or time in your Basic Schedule with the Google Home app, Nest app, or thermostat itself. Refer to the section below for complete instructions.
