General Information about Battery and Charging on Pixel Phones

Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Actual battery life may be lower. Over time, Pixel software will manage battery performance to help maintain battery health as your battery ages. See g.co/pixel/battery-tests and g.co/pixel/batteryhealth for details.

Wired charging rates are based upon use of the Google 45W USB-C® Charger plugged into a wall outlet. Actual results may be slower. Adapters sold separately. See g.co/pixel/battery-tests and g.co/pixel/batteryhealth for details.

Summary of Battery Testing

PIXEL 10 & PIXEL 10 PRO

General Battery Drain Testing:

Estimated battery life based on testing using the profile of an average Pixel phone user across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features, including Chrome web browsing, audio playback, and YouTube video streaming. All settings were default. Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network in California in mid-2025 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings. Tests began with phones fully charged.

Battery Testing in Extreme Battery Saver Mode:

Estimated battery life based on testing using the profile of an average Pixel phone user across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of limited other features, such as camera and text messaging, that are default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity). Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network in California in mid-2025 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Tests began with phones fully charged.

Charging Time Testing:

Charging speed based upon testing with device batteries drained to 1% and charged with Google 45W USB-C® Charger. Charging testing conducted by Google in mid-2025 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings with the device powered on. Charging speed depends upon many factors including usage during charging, battery age, and ambient temperature. Actual charging speed may be slower.

PIXEL 10 PRO FOLD

General Battery Drain Testing:

Estimated battery life based on testing using the profile of an average Pixel foldable phone user across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features, including Chrome web browsing, audio playback, and YouTube video streaming. All settings were default. Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network in California in mid-2025 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings. Tests began with phones fully charged.

PIXEL 9a

General Battery Drain Testing:

Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel 9a user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features, including Chrome web browsing, audio playback, and YouTube video streaming. All settings were default. Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network in California in late 2024 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings. Tests began with phones fully charged.

Battery Testing in Extreme Battery Saver Mode:

Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel 9a user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of limited other features, such as camera and text messaging, that are default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity).
