Highlight and comment on text in Pages on iPhone
You can temporarily highlight text in the body of your document, in text boxes, and in shapes. This is helpful, for example, if youβre reviewing a document and want to call out certain parts. These highlights arenβt visible in printed documents. When multiple people are working on a document, each personβs highlights appear in a unique color.
Tip: If you want highlights in any color that are visible in your final document, add a background color to text.
Add or remove a highlight
You can highlight text everywhere except in charts and table cells.
Add a highlight: Select text, then tap Highlight.
Remove a highlight: Double-tap the highlighted text, then tap Remove Highlight.
Note: If the document is shared with others, only you and the document owner can delete your highlight. If someone else adds a comment to your highlight, the author name and color of the highlight changes to the commentβs author, and you canβt delete the comment.
Highlights added this way arenβt visible in printed or PDF documents. To add permanent highlights, see Add a background color to text.
Add a comment to highlighted text
Tap the highlighted text.
Tap βAdd a comment,β then type your comment.
