Siri on your Mac
Use Siri on your Mac Pro to do everyday tasks and find information. For example, you can schedule meetings, change settings, get answers, send messages, place calls, and add items to your calendar. If you turn on the โListen forโ option in Siri settings, you can activate Siri with your voice when you say โHey Siriโ or โSiri,โ and immediately speak your request.
Throughout this guide, you can find examples of how you could use Siriโthey look like this:

Note: To use Siri, your Mac must be connected to the internet. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area.
Important: Mac Pro doesnโt have a built-in microphone, so you must connect an external microphone (sold separately) in order to use Siri with your voice. After attaching your microphone, select it in Sound settings (open System Settings, click Sound, click Input, then select your microphone).
Turn on Siri. Open System Settings, click Apple Intelligence & Siri (or Siri
) in the sidebar, turn on Siri, then click Enable. If you enabled Siri during setup and you have a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, you can also press and hold the Dictation/Siri (F5) key
Activate Siri. There are several ways to activate Siri. Click or

Type to Siri. Type your requests to Siri instead of speaking them. Click Accessibility in System Settings, then click Siri and turn on โType to Siri.โ If Apple Intelligence is turned on, you can automatically type Siri requestsโjust click .

Show captions. Show what Siri says on screen. Open System Settings, click Apple Intelligence & Siri (or Siri
), then click Siri Responses and turn on โAlways show Siri captions.โ You can also turn on โAlways show speechโ to have Siri transcribe your requests.
Change the voice. Open System Settings, click Apple Intelligence & Siri (or Siri
), then choose an option from the Voice menu.
