Problem with TUTOR LMS PLUGIN
-
Hello, I would like to purchase the Pro version of your plugin, but first, I am testing the free version to see if it suits our needs. The issue is that once the courses are created, it’s now impossible to edit them in any way. The message “something went wrong” always appears. This is causing significant problems for my team. We even waited for the update (version 3.0.2), thinking it might resolve the issue, but unfortunately, it didn’t. If you don’t provide a solution, I will have to give up on your plugin and the purchase of the Pro version.

Hello @asiafiliano,
Thank you for reaching out and for considering the Pro version of our plugin. I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing while trying to edit the courses.
To help me diagnose and resolve the issue, could you please share a screenshot of the error message you’re seeing? You can use a tool like https://prnt.sc/ to capture and share the screenshot with me.
Looking forward to your reply.
thanks
hello?
Hello @asiafiliano,
To troubleshoot the issue, please follow these steps:
- Clear Browser and Website Cache: Clear your browser cache to ensure that you’re viewing the most recent version of the website. Additionally, clear your website cache if you have a caching plugin or a caching mechanism in place on your server.
- Check for Plugin and Theme Conflicts: Switch your current theme to a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Three). Deactivate all plugins except the Tutor LMS plugin. Check if the issue persists.
These steps will help me identify whether the problem is related to a specific plugin or theme. Let me know the results so I can assist you further.
Hi! I also have the similar problem with my free version, except mine is even WORSE! The editing page is completely blank! And not just the editing page… General page and Starter Sites page from the Tutor Starter side bar are also blank. Even the homepage of elementor has become blank… the screenshot is down below. I’ve tried deactivate all the other plugins, clear cache and re-download Tutor LMS, but the problem remains. I really need help, thank you.
I’ve been dealing with this problem for over a month now. I can no longer edit courses, add lessons, or modify lessons. I’m forced to uninstall the plugin. They can’t seem to find a real solution. I’ve also updated the plugin to version 3.1.0, but nothing has changed (in addition to following their advice).

hello?? 😡
We are having the same exact issue as @erichang mentioned. Since upgrading to the latest pro version, those of us who had access to edit a course can NO longer edit a course! It brings you to the Courses overview page, however once you select the course to edit, there’s nothing but a blank screen.
This wasn’t happening a week or so ago and now all of the sudden it is and we haven’t changed anything on the site since this latest upgrade. My client is getting frustrated, as am I.
To confirm, I have deactivated all plugins to cross reference any conflicts as well as changed the theme to the WordPress 2025 theme and we still cannot edit a course. We have even cleared all cache on the site, as well as in the browsers, which we have also tested it across multi platforms and multi browsers. Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge. Some show an absolute blank page and other browsers like Firefox and Safari show the admin menu inside of wp-admin but a blank window where the course builder should be.
This kindly needs to be addressed ASAP!
Hello @asiafiliano
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern. Since this forum is only for support regarding the free version of the plugin.
Hello @lookwhoo,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, and I apologize for the frustration it has caused.
It seems like this problem could be related to a conflict introduced by the recent update. Since you have already deactivated all plugins and switched themes to rule out conflicts, I recommend the following additional steps to troubleshoot:
1. Enable Debugging: You can enable WordPress debugging to check if any error messages might give us more insight into what’s causing the issue. Add the following lines to your
wp-config.phpfile:define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true ); define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );Afterward, check the
wp-content/debug.logfile for any errors related to the course editing issue.2. Reinstall the Plugin: Sometimes, the update process can miss certain files. Please try reinstalling the Tutor LMS Pro plugin.
3. PHP Version Compatibility: Ensure your server is running a compatible version of PHP. Tutor LMS recommends PHP 7.4 or higher.
If none of the above resolves the issue, please provide any error logs or further details, and we will assist you further.
Hello @wprashed We already did the define calls in the wp-config.php and nothing points to any errors.
We are running on PHP 8.1 at this time, so we’ve eliminated that as an issue as well.
If I reinstall the plugin, is that going to wipe out the entire course content we built?
Hello @lookwhoo,
Thank you for providing the details!
Reinstalling the plugin will not delete your course content as long as you don’t manually delete the data from your database. However, as a precaution, I recommend taking a full backup of your site, including the database, before proceeding with the reinstallation.
If the issue persists after reinstalling, feel free to share more details, and I’ll be happy to assist further.
