I fiddling with an implementation of items() in CDispatch, so that one could use f.ex the Session.Contents object in ASP like this: for key, value in Session.Contents.items: #do stuff There some more work to do there as strange things happen when I apply the method to objects that don't really support it. I guess another problem is that I've implemented as a method in CDispatch (in dynamic.py) and then won't work on make_py generated classes won't it. Anyway, my fiddlings so far has produced this, that works with Session.Contents and a couple of other objects, but hangs the web server when applied to the Request object (works fine on Request.QueryString and Request.Form though) def items(self): ret = [] for each in self: ret.append( each, self[each]) ) return tuple(ret)

Thanks. That was very helpful. According to Archeoptyrx's web page, their Wing IDE is now at commercial release, presumably that means post-beta. Any update on its stability? Python interpreter hangs

Hi, when I'm running the script that is listed below on one of our DEC-Alpha stations, python hangs after the print statement in the function test0. The output "sum = 125000.0" is printed on the screen but the print statement at the end of the script is not executed. The process is not idle but is running and demands 100% of CPU-time. Python does not react on Ctr C, I have to explicitely kill it. Curiously this script works on a NT-PC, on another DEC-Alpha station and it already worked on the same machine it's now hanging. This is probably a problem with the DEC-Alpha station but I don't have any idea what the reasons could be. Did anybody have a similar problem or does anybody have an idea concerning my problem? The above file was indeed the proposal that was used as basis for the Unicode implementation in Python. Many of the higher-level interfaces are already documented in the standard documentation, but if you care about the internals and all the gory details, then it still is the number one reference. Note that most of the trouble users have with Unicode comes from not understanding the difference between 8-bit strings (without any encoding information) and 2-byte (single encoding) Unicode -- these are really two different worlds and bringing them together is a hard piece of work. Other languages which seem to make Unicode easy typically don't make this distinction at all: they simply use Unicode all the way. Python+Emacs+GUD ?

According to the Python archives this question has been posted 6 years ago... still without an answer? Q: Has someone accomplished Python integration within Emacs GDB-Mode (GUD, Grand Unified Debugger)? With this, Emacs Python-mode mode would be a very handy integrated development environment. A WikiWikiWeb is a collaborative hypertext environment, with an emphasis on easy access to and modification of information. MoinMoin is a Python WikiClone that allows you to easily set up your own wiki, only requiring a Web server and a Python installation. The major new feature of this release is the introduction of user preferences. This is currently used to display your name on the RecentChanges page (instead of your IP), and show all dates in your local time. Besides internal (code organization) changes, the two minor additions are a TableOfContents macro (much better navigation for longer pages), and improvements for numbered lists. I saw, that there are serveral modules, but I don't know which one to choose. can you tell me, which modules for Mysql and Postgresql work best?? (and where to get it) Is there something for Python like DBI is for Perl???? thanks a lot markus
